Machining parameters & time.
Calculate spindle speed, actual cutting speed, feed rate, material-removal rate, idealized machining time and optional cutting-power demand for linear milling, longitudinal turning and drilling.
01Operation & speed
Calculated spindle speed uses n = 1000·Vc/(π·D). If a spindle limit is entered, CM-001 clamps RPM and recomputes the actual cutting speed.
02Feed & cut section
Only the fields for the selected operation are used. Milling uses feed per tooth and tooth count; turning and drilling use feed per revolution.
03Machining-time model
Idealized time = cutting travel / feed + rapid travel / rapid feed + fixed allowance. Enter total effective travel per cycle, including any approach/overtravel you want counted. For drilling, one cycle normally represents one hole.
04Optional cutting-power estimate
A first-pass estimate from material-removal rate and user-entered specific cutting force kc. kc varies strongly with material, chip thickness, tool geometry and cutting condition; use supplier/process data rather than a generic constant.
